French engineering firm Segula Technologies has selected Australia as its headquarters in the Asia Pacific region.
The company is expanding its office in South Melbourne to oversee activities in the region. The move is expected to create 100 jobs.
Segula Technologies chose Melbourne because of Melbourne’s renowned technical colleges and industries, existing infrastructure, and local talent base.
The company aims to hire engineers, 3D designers and program managers in the next few years.
“We thank the Victoria State Government for their support. The Victoria State Government has shown confidence in Segura’s ability to nurture valuable jobs for Victorian workers,” said Pierre, Asia Pacific Managing Director, Segura Technologies Australia. Masiekhovsky said.
“We are excited about our opportunity here in Victoria.”
Segula Technologies focuses on defense, automotive, rail and medical activities throughout Australia and the Asia Pacific region.
The company has solid experience in large-scale defense and transportation infrastructure projects in Australia. We are currently working on expanding the Vlocity regional train and the Melbourne Light Rail.
Segula Technologies is also supporting the delivery of SEA1000 attack-class submarines under construction in South Australia.
