Who doesn’t like Mexican food? Is there anyone seriously not? Anyway, I know my family does. They are Beef and rice bowl It’s one of my favorite weekdays. And the kids are always excited Guacamole snack. And if you can get tacos from Taco Slack at home, it’s definitely a win.
Taco al pasta is a wonderful mix of spicy, salty, sweet and spicy. Marinated pork in a sweet and spicy marinade, cook, chop and put in tacos. My kids give it two thumbs up and say you should give it a try.
What is Tacos Al Pastor?
Translated tacos al pasters are shepherd tacos.Maybe Irish shepherds eat Shepherd pie And do Mexican shepherds eat shepherd tacos?
Seriously, traditional taco al pasters aren’t exactly like Shepherd’s pie. The meat is similar to the Mexican version of the Lebanese Shawarma and the Greek gyro. Toss the tortillas with other toppings to make taco al pasta.
To make it, marinated the pork with pineapple and adobo pepper marinade for at least an hour. Then select the cooking method. Skewers traditional taco al paster pork.
Spit roast alternative
There is no spit to roast meat. Most home cooks don’t. However, there are other ways to get the same delicious taste at home. These are the three methods I used:
Smoker / Pellet Grill: My favorite way. It takes much longer than any other method, but it is closest to skewers and tastes great.
Instant Pots: Instant pots are a great tool for cooking by hand or quickly cooking large fillets of meat. If you choose this method, you can bake the finely chopped pork for a few minutes to get the crispy roasted texture you get with skewers.
Stove top: This is the fastest method as it slices the marinated pork and bake it in a frying pan.
One of the things my family loves about tacos is that everyone can take the lead as they please. I change the topping options according to what I have and the season.our Seafood tacos When Fish taco salad It depends every time we have them.
Taco al pasters are usually served with fresh or grilled pineapple, diced red onions, coriander and avocado. We really like it too This taco coleslaw..

Unless you start the day enthusiastically and plan to spend the early hours, it can be quite difficult to work efficiently on the rest of the day. It’s just a matter of sitting down and understanding how you want your morning to look and how it can best be set to make you productive all day long.
There are many books and blogs dealing with morning routines, but the best are the ones you stick to. When you are a mom, the morning (and day) can still be unpredictable, so it’s a good idea to keep your morning routine simple and with a little bit of flexibility.
Here are some of the important things to keep in mind when planning your morning routine:
Get up before the child

This is your quiet space before the day begins. This self-care will help you Become a better mom The rest of the day.
Focus on your health and self-care
Your morning routine is your time to take care of some of your own needs, such as your health and a little self-care. This includes drinking lemon water. Pray and meditate, Journaling, natural facials, showers, and even walks and yoga.
Plan the day
The third part of a useful morning routine is to look ahead and plan your tasks. This may include meals Grocery shopping, Future plans, work projects, and even plans for picking berries and getting to the farmers market. Your planner may already have these things, but you can just check your calendar or planner to make sure you haven’t missed anything.
2. Use block schedule
Speaking of calendars and planners, another useful tip is to use block schedules. According to author Anne Dillard, “Schedule protects you from confusion and capriciousness.”
What is a block schedule? You can read more about it hereBut basically, organize your tasks into blocks and then schedule them throughout the day. That way, you won’t break your maximum productivity time in errands, bookings, dishwashing, vacuuming, etc. and you won’t suffer any kind of loss. precious time Migrating from one type of task to another.
Also, as an example, instead of putting off certain things like washing or exercising, make sure you get things done from each category of tasks each week.
Examples of different categories of tasks include:
Daily routine every morning – Making beds, breakfast, watering plants / gardens, everything mentioned above.

It removes decisions, ensures that you achieve your priorities, and generally gives you guidance daily, weekly, and monthly. When creating Home organizational system, You have created a checklist that covers all areas of your household that need attention, whether it is or not Cleaning the bathroom, Laundry, meal planning, and even downtime.
You can do it the old-fashioned way with a 3-ring binder, or you can create an eco-friendly system on your smartphone. There are several apps that are suitable for this Evernote When concept..
When creating a home organization system, you’ll want to start by creating a high-level overview of what happens every day. Then, around your daily activities, assign the chores and projects that need to occur during the week or month.
You can create the following checklist:
Meal planning / preparation
Each room in the house (cleaning checklist)
If you need more guidance in understanding the organizational system of your home, I highly recommend this book Mother’s life rules It will help you understand your own system.
Checklists for my organization can also be found at: This blog post.. Includes daily outline sheets, daily housework sheets, weekly routine sheets, monthly routine sheets, meal plan sheets, room cleaning sheets, and daily “to-do list” sheets.
Next … Meal planning! Meal planning is the key!
4. Plan your meal in advance
Save about 3.5 hours in just one week Meal planning.. seriously. I actually tracked the time spent planning, preparing, and shopping for meals during the week when I didn’t plan my meal and the week when I ate. The difference was shocking. Meal planning alone saved me an average of 3.5 hours a week. Bonus: Food savings with and without meal planning were also about $ 45 a week. Dietary planning can help you get more done daily and weekly.
Again, this can be done on paper or on your smartphone. The tool I use is Actual planCan be used on your computer or its mobile app. This tool makes shopping for groceries and preparing meals easier, and allows you to do other things during the time you spend thinking about what to eat for your dinner.
The real plan is easy to use and easy to customize. When you stop the process, you can almost complete all meal planning in about 5 minutes a week. Meal plans are created automatically and you can customize as much as you like. It can also be used for batch cooking, so you can cook first. You can then view your meal plans, recipes, and shopping lists on your smartphone.
You can also get your kids to help you prepare your meal … this is my last tip.
5. Empower your child
Moms often feel that they have to do everything for the whole family. But that’s not the case Burnout recipe.. Consider ways to allow your family to do things themselves, rather than doing everything yourself. Delegating tasks can save you time every day.It also helps Prepare your child for adulthoodBecome a responsible, disciplined and compassionate adult who makes the world a better place.
Here are some ways you can empower your child:

Bonus Tips: Take a step at a time
There is no one-step way to overhaul your life. Believe me, I tried! Select one area at a time to work on. It’s also helpful to remember that it’s not all the responsibility that rests on your mom’s shoulders, but the entire “team”, the family.

Learning about the health benefits of is always fascinating to me Common kitchen spices.. When making chili, tacos, curry and fajitas, use ground cumin powder (which is common!). In fact, Cumin is the star of all hosts of Mexican, Spanish, Middle Eastern and Indian cuisine.
Cumin is often used in packaged taco seasonings in the United States, but don’t eat it! Create a quick and easy spice mix (described later in this post) and skip the sodium and fillers in those small packets.
Cumin is more than just another spice to add to your spice blend. It has a unique flavor and is loved by many people, but of course the characteristics that support health are also impressive!I always Order cumin in pounds Keep a quart-sized Mason jar in the spice cabinet for ease of use. The reason is as follows.
Cumin’s little history
Like cinnamon, Cumin enjoys a long and venerable history. In fact, it is one of the earliest herbs cultivated in Asia and Europe.
Originally native to Egypt (the ancient Egyptians actually used it in the process of mummification!), This small seed of a small plant belonging to the Parsley family was popular in ancient Greece and Rome. Interestingly, in the Middle Ages, cumin symbolized love and loyalty, being taken up at weddings and burned into chunks of bread sent to the battlefield with soldiers. Spanish and Portuguese settlers later introduced it to the Americas.
Like most spices, these and other cultures valued not only the aroma and flavor of cumin, but also its medicinal properties. Traditional texts describe its use as a diuretic to calm the stomach and stop flatulence. Some cultures use it to stimulate women’s health and menstruation.
Like many herbs, cumin can I made a compressEspecially for swelling and pain in the throat. I even found a reference to a cure that mixes cumin and ghee to relieve hiccups!
Benefits of cumin
This common spice has many uses and benefits as a remedy, and its effectiveness has been well studied.
Source of vitamins
Cumin is considered an excellent source of iron, manganese, magnesium, phosphorus and other minerals. It also contains Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, B6, and beneficial amino acids.
Oral doses on consecutive days (25, 50, 100, 200 mg / kg) Improved immune response Of mice whose immune system is impaired due to restraint-induced stress. These effects were characterized by a decrease in rise Cortisol Adrenal size, increased thymus and spleen weight, and replacement of depleted T cells. There was a dose-dependent response, but all doses had beneficial effects.
Help with a cold
Natural remedies for colds often include cumin for its potential ability to accelerate recovery. It is a rich source of vitamin C and iron, both of which can help recovery. The essential oils in cumin also help the body fight infections. Also, as mentioned above, some people relieve coughing and sneezing by drying excess mucus.
Tip: Mix a small amount of cumin powder with a small amount of raw honey to catch a cold.
Weight loss + detox
Cumin also helps with weight loss. This 2014 survey We investigated the effects of taking 3 grams (a little less than a teaspoon) of cumin daily. Both groups followed the same nutritional counseling and reduced their calorie intake by 500 calories. Three months later, the cumin-consuming group lost three pounds more than the non-cumin-consuming control group.
Studies have contributed to cumin’s ability to alter fatty acid production in the liver due to its protective effect. In this study Cumin protected rat liver from toxicity due to the consumption of ethanol and the foul-smelling sunflower oil.
Good for bones
cumin Had anti-osteoporosis Effects on rats that are comparable to drug therapy but have no adverse effects. More research is needed, but it is generally considered a safe treatment.
The herbs contained in grocery store spice packets have quite impressive benefits. If you haven’t used cumin for cooking yet, there are many ways to use it!
How to use cumin
This exciting spice has many culinary uses, but it’s more than just a spice! Try these many uses and enjoy the benefits every day!
Use of cooking
There are endless ways to use this spice in the kitchen. Essential for these spice blends.
In a pinch that doesn’t make a spice blend (not intended for puns), you may only use plain cumin to season tacos and fajitas, and you’ll rarely miss other spices!
Adding cumin to omelets and scrambled eggs is also effective. Alternatively, dry and rub the meat before grilling. Sprinkle with vegetables and roast, or blend taco-flavored rice with the rice.
It may not be the first thing that comes to mind, but cumin is also great in skin care recipes. Specifically, it makes an excellent face scrub when mixed with honey. Where to buy cumin
Of course, this amazing little spice can be bought at most grocery stores, but make sure it’s of high quality. I usually order here Because it’s organic and delicious!
Attention and risk
Cumin is a cooking herb and is generally considered safe and non-toxic even at medium doses. I add it generously to food, and taste buds are a great guide to the proper amount to consume in general.
High medicated doses have some potential effects. Men may not want to take large doses for long periods of time, as it may reduce very large amounts of testosterone. Pregnant women should be careful with high doses because they are used at high doses to initiate menstruation and may be at risk of miscarriage.
Due to the effects of blood sugar, brain and immunity mentioned above, people with medical conditions should definitely consult a doctor before using this spice more than the amount cooked.
This article has been medically reviewed Dr. Jennifer Pfleghaar, DO, FACEP, ABOIM.. Dr. Jennifer is a double-board certified physician, currently working in emergency medicine, and has an office in Ohio that practices integrative medicine. As always, this is not personal medical advice and it is advisable to consult a doctor.

Whenever I learn to make common seasonings at home, I find it exciting. When it’s something I use a lot and always seems to be missing Like honey mustard, It’s even more satisfying.
Recently, I’m planning to make ribs and the barbecue sauce is gone. I went to the kitchen instead of going to the store. It needed some adjustment, but I’m happy with the result. And now I can make with it BBQ chicken nachos!!
Structure of barbecue sauce
Most people are well aware that barbecue sauces vary by region and personal taste. There is a rich smoky sweet variety from Kansas City and a thinner vinegar variety from Carolina.detail here..
Most barbecue sauces include tomato sauce (or ketchup), mustard, vinegar, as well as additional spices and sometimes something for sweetness. The mine is based on tomato and applesauce. Add an appropriate amount of vinegar and balance with various spices. Some people use smoked (smoked water) to get the smoky taste of barbecue sauce, but I like to use smoked paprika.
The beauty of making your own is that you can customize it to your liking. My recipe doesn’t fit perfectly into any category. It’s quite thick, a little sweet, a little spicy, and I like the vinegar tongue. We recommend making, tasting, and adjusting until you have the sauce you like.
Make barbecue sauce and seasonings at home
I have switched to many homemade seasonings over the years. I did it gradually and added one here and one there. I think I was overwhelmed when I switched to homemade cold turkey. However, adding one at a time made it a second property to put numbers in the fridge.
I think there are two kitchen appliances that are very convenient for making seasonings. The first is the abundant supply of pint-sized Mason jars with lids. Ideal for shaking, mixing and storing. The second is Immersion Blender (Stick Blender).. It has additional attachments, making it ideal for purees, whisks and choppings.
It’s hard to say that I’m an expert in this world. In fact, it’s mistakenly included in the short list Kill foliage plants Procrastinate until you have 8 pieces of laundry to fold.
But after navigating them over the years, there are a few other things I’m pretty close to professional status: pregnancy and thyroid disease. With a total of about five years of pregnancy and almost twice as many years since my thyroid diagnosis, I learned how to navigate both, especially together, the difficult ones.
Thyroid disease + pregnancy
Pregnancy can be a very nice and enjoyable time, despite the hardships.
But there is another aspect of pregnancy that can be painful and devastating … and that is infertility and loss. I recently shared a post about autoimmune disorders that often cause thyroid disease and hypothyroidism. Hashimoto’s thyroiditis.. Not only does it cause debilitating fatigue, anxiety and hair loss Can’t lose weight, And many others — can also cause infertility and problematic pregnancies.
This is what the traditional medical community admits, but it seems that there are not many good resources for pregnant women with thyroid disease. During pregnancy and after childbirth, our hormones pass through the ringer. This is not a bad thing, but it can cause adverse reactions in the thyroid gland due to the overwhelming amount of hormonal changes.
Undiagnosed or poorly managed thyroid problems can also cause a variety of complications associated with pregnancy and childbirth. In fact, untreated thyroid disease increases the likelihood of preterm birth, preeclampsia, miscarriage, low birth weight, anemia, and even stillbirth.
Thyroid problems: what to look for
It took years To be properly diagnosed, And I am incredibly grateful that my children were healthy and my pregnancy was okay. But I also wish I knew the signs and what I would ask my doctor to test.
Thyroid disease is not particularly confusing before and during pregnancy. People with suspected thyroid disease should be tested before pregnancy or as soon as possible, if possible. Check the results and ask your doctor to make sure you are using the latest references. Depending on your doctor’s thinking, you may be using an older reference range.
Thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) — This is a pituitary hormone that measures the level of thyroid hormone in the blood. If it is low, it may indicate that the levels of thyroid hormone made from the thyroid gland are too high. If TSH is too high, it may indicate that the levels of thyroid hormone produced by the thyroid gland are too low.
Free T3 / Free T4 — Measures the level of active hormones in the blood.
Reverse T3 — This will help you determine if you have hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism. It tends to be low for hypothyroidism and high for hyperthyroidism. Inverse T3 measures the amount of inactive T4 in the body and is most useful in diagnosing hypothyroidism.
Thyroid peroxidase antibody / thyroglobulin antibody (TPO / TG antibody) — An excellent test for measuring antibodies and finding conditions that were formed many years before they appeared on the TSH test.
Thyroid ultrasound — Especially recommended if your doctor suspects abnormal growth or if you know your thyroid condition.
If any of these labs return from normal range, work with your doctor to establish some best practices for returning to normal range. This may look like a drug or it may require lifestyle intervention Like a diet Supplements, and get rid of toxins from your life.
There is a gene mutation known as MTHFR mutation It can also have a really big impact on pregnancy. Many doctors are not familiar with the study of this gene and do not recognize this mutation as a risk … but yes!
Countless women carry this mutation, which is why it is worth testing.Still Test at home Testing for this mutation.
Folic acid vs. folic acid
One of the important parts of the MTHFR gene mutation is Folic acid cannot be methylated correctly (Especially in the synthetic form of folic acid). Therefore, even if folic acid enters the body, it is not processed and absorbed. Pregnant women need 400 mcg of folic acid per day because it helps prevent birth defects and is essential for the growth of the baby. However, if you are a woman with this mutation, you will not be able to absorb folic acid properly and will need to take real folic acid called folic acid.
It’s a real tragedy that babies aren’t getting the right nutrients and suffering from consequences. Because doctors miss the signs that these moms need to be another form of folic acid (the true form!). Personally, I chose prenatal, which contains the natural form of folic acid, just in case, even before I realized I had the MTHFR mutation.
People with this mutation should consider removing folic acid completely from your diet. It is a synthetic version of folic acid that tends to hide in processed foods and fortified flour. It is advisable to choose healthier alternatives such as folic acid-rich vegetables and low glycemic fruits such as blackberries. Making it gluten-free is another great way to avoid folic acid.
The most common form of hyperthyroidism during pregnancy is Graves’ disease. In fact, 1 in 1500 women are affected during pregnancy. This happens when you have very high hCG levels in your body.
According to the American Thyroid Association, the most common type of hypothyroidism is caused by the autoimmune disease Hashimoto’s disease. “During pregnancy, about 2.5% of women have a slight increase in TSH above 6 and 0.4% TSH above 10”, says ATA.
Both of these conditions can adversely affect both the mother and the baby, so it is important to address them. Taking ownership of your health during pregnancy is essential for both of you. If you are currently suffering from infertility or miscarriage, expect that there are proven steps you can take to improve your health and increase your chances of getting pregnant.
Dealing with thyroid triggers
A major step towards thyroid health is to address the triggers that can cause the thyroid gland to go off line.
Leaky gut, or intestinal permeability It happens when the body is unable to process food and nutrients in the right way. In essence, the intestines are vulnerable and food and other bacteria can slip through the cracks, causing digestive and absorptive problems. If you are a science enthusiast like me, you may find This article was really helpful To explain the specialty of intestinal permeability.
This is a big one. Depending on your diet, it’s easy to get very low in essential nutrients such as iron, magnesium, selenium, and vitamin D. Intestinal problems can also reduce the body’s ability to effectively process these nutrients.
If there is Intestinal problems, That way, no matter how much you take these supplements or eat nutritious foods, your body will not be able to deprive them of all their goodness. This is especially important to deal with during pregnancy, as the demand for nutrients is increasing.
Stress is a major component of overall well-being. The ability or lack of ability to handle stress can have a direct impact on health. Our body releases cortisol based on its response to the situation and the environment. Our bodies can release too much or too little, based on what we think we need. When the cortisol dries, State of adrenal fatigue.
Symptoms such as low blood pressure, decreased libido, mild depression, and overwhelming or indecisive mood can all result from adrenal dysfunction.
Have you ever been swollen or bloated after eating? Or do you experience upset stomach and acne even if you are far past your teens? All of these symptoms may indicate that your body is sensitive to what you have just eaten.
Gluten-like food hypersensitivity, Dairy products and soybeans are so common that you should get rid of them from your diet and be prepared to significantly improve your mood. Eliminating gluten is essential for anyone trying to heal intestinal permeability, as gluten can even cause intestinal leaks.
Blood sugar imbalance
This is closely related to adrenal support.we Balance your blood sugar It can reduce anxiety and thyroid antibodies. Dr. Wentz recommends reducing refined carbohydrates and increasing good fats and protein. Proteins and good fats tend to keep you happy longer and provide more energy for you to absorb.
Toxic accumulation is also common in people suffering from thyroid disease. There are some things like The air we breathe Also The water we drink You can take steps to improve it. Perhaps it’s time to wipe out old cosmetology and cleaning agents filled with harmful ingredients and switch to a more natural way. Here are some Great baby steps To move towards this goal.
Underlying infections and overgrowth of bacteria such as Candida are important to address, especially for those with pregnancy problems. There are many natural products that can help eradicate intestinal infections, but I follow a well-studied program Trained practitioner. This is especially important for those who are currently pregnant!
Iodine during pregnancy?
In the functional world of medicine, Whether to take iodine This is a hot topic. Some say it is necessary to maintain proper thyroid function, while others are categorically opposed. Depending on where you live in the world, you may not need additional supplements.
During the first 10-12 weeks of pregnancy, the baby is completely dependent on the mother for thyroid hormone. The child then needs iodine to produce his hormones. The World Health Organization recommends 250 µg / d of iodine per day, but in the United States, our diet usually provides enough iodine, so check with your doctor to see if you need additional supplements. Please give me.
Find a doctor who understands the thyroid gland
This is probably not to mention, but finding a doctor who understands thyroid disease and how it affects pregnancy is essential throughout the pregnancy process (for infertile people) and throughout pregnancy. Look for someone who is familiar with the thyroid gland and will accept lifestyle interventions with the medications they need as needed.
Managing Pregnancy and Thyroid Disease Together If there’s one thing I’ve learned during all these years, it’s:
You are your own defender and you are your baby’s defender. If something seems wrong, be the voice for yourself and your child. Ask questions, do research, and don’t be afraid to stand up for yourself.
More thyroid help (for pregnancy and conception)
Go through all the information about Thyroid and pregnancy It can be a little overwhelming. You are not alone. I would like to share one resource that I wanted to have many years ago. You’ve probably heard of a documentary series called Thyroid secretBut, in case you don’t have it, it has information from Dr. Isabella Wentz and dozens of thyroid specialists. With an entire episode dedicated to childbirth and thyroid gland, this series is very helpful even if you are trying to get pregnant, are currently pregnant, or are suffering from postpartum thyroiditis.

Melt beeswax, shea butter / cocoa butter, and coconut oil in a glass jar without a lid and in a small pan that is not boiling. Since each ingredient is rarely used, it should dissolve quickly.
Once melted, remove from heat and add any ingredients such as color and aroma.
When all ingredients are well mixed but still liquid, use a dropper to pour into a lip chap container. I used a glass dropper from an old tincture bottle. Fill just below the top as it expands slightly as it cools. Let it cool for at least 30 minutes.
Please keep it in a cool place (80 degrees or less). Otherwise it will be soft.
